Happy Halloween!

Forget the cute kid costumes, check out my friend Angie and I from way back. Not THAT way back because that makes me sound really old, but back before we had lil ones. We were so cool then. Haha! We synchronized our beer drinking, dancing, walking that night... we were such dorks.

I really wish I had a picture of the year I was a Tootsie Pop. That would have been a good laugh. I was maybe 10 or 12?? My aunt painted a wrapper out of red felt and cut 2 eye holes and I tied a string around my neck. I then wore a classic white sweatsuit. Hah!

Ahoy! Part 2: Kids

Ahoy! Part 1:Decor

Clothespin Dollies

During Macey's nap, Riley and I got crafty and made some clothespin dolls. We used simple materials though we had to pull out the glue gun because the tape and wood glue was not cutting it. We made a prince and 2 princesses.

the combo birthday party: princess edition

This year we combined both girls birthday parties. Their birthdays are less than a month away from eachother. I really wanted to do a Fresh Beat Band theme for Macey because it is one of her favorite shows. Instead we did a princess theme. We could save money and my sanity but not going crazy with planning 2 parties so close to each other so one it was!  I told myself I would try to keep it simple but I usually get carried away. We had tiaras, pearl necklaces, handmade wands, nail painting, craft station, royal banners and yummy food! I pulled form my huge collection of vintage linens for the table clothes, and banners. I made each felt want while watching Lifetime movies each night. And the wooden princess heads and paint were all on sale at Jo-Anns. The one boy at the party got a wooden frog head to paint. how fitting! I even made the cupcakes myself!
